The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) photoelectric gimbal is a type of UAV camera system, generally composed of EO cameras, infrared cameras, digital processing unit, image compression unit, image stabilization unit etc. It can take photos and videos as well as all-weather tracking, shooting, and monitoring of long-distance targets. There are many types of technologies used in the optoelectronic pod​ of unmanned aerial vehicles, and the types of technologies vary slightly depending on their functions. Infrared thermal imaging technology, digital image processing technology and dynamic target tracking technology are regarded as the three most commonly used and representative technologies.
